Community Guidelines

Pick3DP is a community built on honest, first-hand experience. These guidelines apply to all public content submitted on the platform — including Maker Feedback (product reviews) and blog post comments. By submitting any content, you agree to follow these guidelines and our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Introduction
Pick3DP connects makers, engineers, and 3D printing enthusiasts with suppliers and products that serve their work. The value of this platform depends on the quality and authenticity of the content contributed by our community. These guidelines are designed to keep that content trustworthy, useful, and respectful for everyone.
These guidelines apply to all registered users, guests, and suppliers who submit public content on Pick3DP, including product reviews, written feedback, and blog post comments.
2. Maker Feedback Guidelines
2.1 Authenticity
Maker Feedback must reflect genuine, first-hand experience with the product or service being reviewed. You should only submit feedback for products you have personally purchased, used, or directly evaluated.
- Do not submit feedback based on second-hand accounts, marketing materials, or speculation;
- Do not submit feedback for a product you have not personally used;
- Do not submit multiple reviews for the same product from the same or related accounts.
2.2 Honesty and Accuracy
Your feedback should be an honest and balanced account of your experience.
- Describe what you liked and what could be improved, based on actual use;
- Do not exaggerate, omit material information, or misrepresent the product;
- Do not submit feedback that contains factually incorrect claims about the product or supplier.
2.3 No Conflicts of Interest
To protect the integrity of our platform:
- Suppliers may not submit feedback for their own products or services;
- Suppliers may not submit feedback designed to harm a competitor's reputation;
- You may not submit feedback in exchange for payment, discounts, free products, or any other incentive, unless that relationship is clearly and prominently disclosed at the start of your feedback;
- Pick3DP reserves the right to remove incentivised feedback that is not properly disclosed.
2.4 Relevance
Feedback should focus on the product itself and the overall purchase or usage experience. Comments about unrelated business disputes, delivery issues caused by third-party carriers, or experiences with other products from the same supplier should be directed to the supplier directly rather than included in a product review.
2.5 Respect and Language
- Write in a constructive and professional tone;
- Do not use offensive, abusive, discriminatory, or threatening language;
- Criticism of a product is welcome; personal attacks against individuals are not.
2.6 Privacy
- Do not include personal information about other individuals (names, contact details, addresses) without their explicit consent;
- Do not include your own sensitive personal information (payment details, identification documents) in publicly visible feedback.
2.7 Intellectual Property
Only include content (text, images, files) that you own or have the right to share publicly. Do not reproduce copyrighted material without permission.
3. Blog Comment Guidelines
3.1 Stay On Topic
Comments should relate to the subject of the article or the discussion thread in which they appear. Off-topic comments, unrelated promotions, or content that derails a discussion may be removed.
3.2 Respectful Discussion
Healthy debate is encouraged. Disagreement with ideas, opinions, and content is welcome; personal attacks, harassment, or targeted hostility toward other users or contributors are not.
- Challenge ideas, not people;
- Engage in good faith and assume good faith in others;
- Do not use threatening, abusive, or discriminatory language.
3.3 No Spam or Unsolicited Promotion
- Do not post repetitive, identical, or automated comments;
- Do not include unsolicited affiliate links, referral codes, or self-promotional content;
- Do not impersonate Pick3DP, a supplier, or another user.
3.4 Accuracy
Do not deliberately spread false or misleading technical information about products, suppliers, or the 3D printing industry. Pick3DP reserves the right to remove comments containing significant factual inaccuracies.
3.5 Language
Comments should be written in English. Pick3DP is an English-language platform and comments in other languages may be moderated or removed.
4. Prohibited Content
The following content is prohibited across all community submissions on Pick3DP and will be removed without notice:
- Fake or incentivised content: reviews or comments submitted in exchange for compensation without disclosure, or that do not reflect genuine experience;
- Hate speech: content that promotes discrimination, hatred, or violence based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, or any other protected characteristic;
- Harassment and threats: content designed to intimidate, humiliate, or threaten any individual or group;
- Spam and unsolicited promotion: repeated, automated, or purely promotional content unrelated to the platform's purpose;
- Impersonation: content posted while impersonating another person, organisation, or brand;
- Privacy violations: content that exposes another person's private or personal information without their consent;
- Illegal content: content that is unlawful, infringes intellectual property rights, or facilitates illegal activity;
- Misinformation: deliberately false or fabricated claims about products, suppliers, or industry practices.
5. Reporting a Violation
If you encounter content that you believe violates these guidelines, please report it to Pick3DP using the contact details provided on the Platform. Include the URL of the content and a brief description of the concern. Pick3DP will review all reports and take appropriate action, which may include removing the content and suspending the account responsible.
Pick3DP is not obligated to remove content solely because it is critical or unfavourable. Content will only be removed where it clearly violates these guidelines or applicable law.
6. Consequences of Violations
Violations of these guidelines may result in the following actions, applied at Pick3DP's sole discretion:
- Content removal: the offending content is removed from the platform;
- Warning: the user is notified that their content has been removed and asked to comply with the guidelines going forward;
- Content restriction: the user's ability to submit new content is temporarily restricted;
- Account suspension: the user's account is suspended for a defined period;
- Permanent ban: the user's account is permanently deactivated and they are barred from creating new accounts.
Pick3DP reserves the right to take immediate action, including permanent bans, for serious or repeated violations without prior warning.
7. Data and Privacy
When you submit Maker Feedback, blog comments, or any other public content on Pick3DP, you consent to the collection and use of the information you provide as described in our Privacy Policy.
Your email address, where provided, will be used for communications relating to your submissions and, where you have consented, for marketing communications about Pick3DP products, features, and offers. You may withdraw your marketing consent at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any marketing email or by contacting Pick3DP directly.
Content you submit publicly (reviews, comments) may be displayed on the platform and indexed by search engines. You should not include sensitive personal information in public submissions.
8. Changes to These Guidelines
Pick3DP may update these Community Guidelines at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the most recent changes were made. Continued use of the platform following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines. Pick3DP will take reasonable steps to notify users of material changes.
